Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is seeking to extend without change the currently approved information collection for E-Verify+. This program integrates the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process with the E-Verify electronic employment eligibility confirmation process to create a more secure and less burdensome verification process for employees and employers. The notice allows an additional 30 days for public comments on the information collection request. The collection involves various respondents including employers, recruiters, referrers for a fee, state employment agencies, and employees, with an estimated total annual hour burden of approximately 5,955,966 hours.
