Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting quotes from qualified contractors to provide labor and materials for flooring installations and repairs as requested by the Department of Residence and ISU Dining Services. The work involves small jobs in kitchens, baths, living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways, including removal of existing carpet and vinyl, installation of ISU-provided carpet, VCT, and roll vinyl, floor preparation, removal and reinstallation of toilets, moving appliances and furniture, and installation of transition strips. The contract is estimated to spend approximately $400,000 over two years, but ISU is not obligated to purchase a minimum quantity. All work must be done by the contractor or their subcontractor, and ISU will provide all floor coverings.
