Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Edgewood Division intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price award on a sole source basis in accordance with Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) FAR 6.103-1 to support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) and their requirement for a mission-critical, continuing requirement for the custom synthesis, purification, quality control, and delivery of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), ribonucleic acid (RNA), and peptide aptamers, with or without chemical modifications  delivered in lyophilized form. These aptamers serve as foundational biological recognition elements in diagnostic assay development, biosensor research, and chemical/biological defense mission-support platforms.

The synthesized aptamers will undergo denaturing Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (dPAGE) purification. Standard commercial HPLC or cartridge purification is technically unacceptable.

The vendor will provide empirical sequence-verification data using both ElectroSpray Ionization (ESI) Mass Spectrometry and 10% Urea Gel dPAGE analysis with every delivery order (Double-Tier Empirical Quality Control).

The intent is to award this contract to Aptagen, LLC., CAGE Code 436H7.  Aptagen LLC. is located at 250 North Main Street, Jacobus, PA 17407.  At this time, it is the Government’s understanding that no other contractor is capable of supplying the required aptamers.
