Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) is seeking proposals for comprehensive underground electrical unit construction and maintenance services for its 7.2/12.47 kV distribution system. - Government Buyer: - Bryan Texas Utilities, Purchasing Department (Brazos County, Bryan, TX) - Scope of Work: - Installation, removal, and maintenance of underground secondary and primary risers, streetlights, underground cables (aluminum and copper), transformer and switchgear pads, feed-thru cabinets, pull boxes, bollards, ground rods, and related materials - Directional boring, trenching, potholing, compaction, and restoration services - Construction and maintenance on energized and de-energized lines, including upgrades, removals, transfers, and emergency storm restoration - Products and Quantities (selected highlights): - 50 units of 3 underground secondary risers (US-3) - 25 units of single phase 2" underground primary risers (UP2-1) - 68,160 feet of 1000 MCM aluminum underground primary cable (1000URD) - 25 units of 30' steel street light poles with single luminaries (SL-30-S-LGBLK) - Multiple transformer pads (single and three-phase, various kVA ratings), switchgear pads, feed-thru cabinets (15kV, 200A/600A), and streetlight controllers - Numerous accessories: ground rods, clamps, locks, pull boxes, and pedestals - Notable Requirements: - All materials and equipment must meet BTU's detailed construction and safety standards - Strict labeling and installation specifications for transformers, switchgear, and accessories - Contractors must submit OSHA Form 300 logs and incident rates for the past three years - Mandatory pre-bid meeting and compliance with performance/payment bond requirements for contracts over $100,000 - Pricing is on a unit assembly basis; contract value not to exceed $1.5 million over up to five years - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs are mandated; however, one referenced product is the Ripley CR602NOCISWHM1 Lighting Control Pedestal Controller - All other materials must conform to BTU specifications; open to multiple manufacturers meeting these standards
