The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is seeking industry input for the E-7 Wedgetail Training Devices program to support the transition from the E-3 to the E-7 platform. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force - Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) - PAE Training Directorate (AFLCMC/WN), Simulators Division (AFLCMC/WNS)/Air Combat (AFLCMC/WNS) - Requested Products and Services: - One Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) for E-7 Wedgetail - Level D equivalent training system for flight crew simulation, scenario generation, and debriefing - Two Virtual Maintenance Trainers (VMTs) for E-7 Wedgetail - Interactive 3D trainers for maintenance crew hardware removal, replacement, and maintenance tasks - One Training System Support Center (TSSC) - Facility with software tools for device maintenance, source code updates, and scenario development - Program management, systems engineering, concurrency upgrades, contractor logistics support, and instructional services - Unique Requirements: - Devices must meet Level D equivalent standards - Concurrency upgrades to maintain alignment with E-7 aircraft changes - Security clearances and data delivery requirements - Delivery and installation at Tinker AFB, OK - Contract includes production, logistics support, and upgrades - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; market research is open to qualified contractors - No part numbers are specified; quantities are: 1 OFT, 2 VMTs, 1 TSSC

Description

The Government is seeking to identify qualified and capable contractors for the U.S. Air Force E-7 Capability Assessment. The Air Force is conducting market research to identify companies capable of providing a suite of training devices for the new E-7 Wedgetail aircraft, which is set to replace the E-3. The government is seeking information on the development, delivery, and support of an Operational Flight Trainer (OFT), two Virtual Maintenance Trainers (VMTs), and a Training System Support Center. This is for planning purposes only and is not a formal request for proposals.
