Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking bids for the construction of a new multi-level employee parking garage at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. - Project scope includes: - Construction of a 430,000 square foot parking structure - Associated landscaping - Installation of signage, security and vehicle control equipment, shade structures, elevators, technology, and surveillance equipment - Notable technical requirements: - All wiring must be copper - Standby generator must meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards - Specified OEMs for key components: - Sumitomo Electric Lightwave for fiber optic cabling - Dura-Line (AFL) for air blown fiber tubes - Commscope for connection hardware - Compliance requirements: - Adherence to Executive Order 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) - Federal Labor Provisions and payment of prevailing wage rates - Encouragement of small, minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprise (S/M/W/DBE) participation - Strict nondiscrimination and labor compliance provisions - Financial and bonding requirements: - Bid guarantee, performance bond, and payment bond each for 100% of contract price - Lump sum pricing for all work - Special allowances for permits ($500,000) and discretionary work including hazardous materials ($3,000,000) - All bid documents and specifications are available for inspection at the airport's contracts office.
