This opportunity seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive inspection and vegetation control services for railroad infrastructure at U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach and associated locations in Bavaria, Germany. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach, Directorate of Public Works, O&M Division (409th Contracting Support Brigade) - Scope of Services: - Monthly cleaning of 40 rail grooves at crossings - Monthly cleaning, greasing, and moving of 12 switches - Salt spraying for snow and ice accumulation over 227 linear meters - Technical inspection and measurement of 12 switches and interlocking devices - Inspection and documentation of 33 railroad crossings - Complete inspection walk of 8,300 linear meters of rail infrastructure - Inspection of 5 railroad culverts and 2 loading ramps by licensed experts - Superstructure inspection and measurement of 8,900 linear meters using a rail measure vehicle system (Krabbe) - Semi-annual herbicide spraying and vegetation control over 8,900 linear meters of track - Clearance cutting to maintain daylight profile (6m width x 5m height) over 8,900 linear meters - Vegetation control at 4,000 linear meters of drain ditches, 1 railroad dam (~200 sqm), and 5 culverts - Inspection and correction of 1 movable bumper - Legally mandated bridge inspections at 2 bridges - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with German and U.S. railroad regulations (e.g., EBO (A), Ril 821, DIN 1076) - Certified personnel required for inspections and herbicide application - Use of approved and calibrated equipment (e.g., rail measure vehicle system Krabbe) - Debris removal to public dump per environmental regulations - No specific OEMs, vendors, or part numbers are mentioned in the solicitation.

Description

This is a non-personal services contract to provide Base Operation and Support Services for the U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach at Katterbach- Katterbach Kaserne , Illesheim-Storck Barracks and the Bridge in Oberdachstetten Frankenkaserne and Wicklesgreuth. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non- personal services necessary as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Part 5 Specific Tasks and Part 8 Attachment / Technical Exhibits. The Contractor is responsible for providing all approved and calibrated equipment and man power for inspection, vegetation control and basics service.
