NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is soliciting a multi-year contract for maintenance and repair services for fitness equipment at the Joint Staff Hampton Roads fitness facility. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Joint Staff Support Element - OEMs Highlighted: - TruFitness Equipment - Life Fitness Equipment - Hammer Strength - Products/Services Requested: - Routine preventative and corrective maintenance for a wide range of fitness machines, including ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, weight machines, and free weights - Emergency repair visits (up to 4 per year) - Replacement parts and materials (not-to-exceed $3,000 per year) - Reupholstering benches and pads, replacing end caps and protective covers, sanding and painting to prevent rust, lubricating moving parts - Providing a list of replacement parts needed - Quantities and Line Items: - Annual maintenance services (12 per year, base plus 4 option years) - Emergency visits (4 per year, base plus 4 option years) - Materials for repairs (up to $3,000 per year, base plus 4 option years) - Unique Requirements: - Contractor personnel must pass background checks and obtain a 'green' badge for unescorted access - Services must cover equipment from specified OEMs - Firm fixed price and cost no fee contract structure - Period of Performance: - Base year plus four one-year option periods, totaling up to five years - Services performed quarterly and as needed for urgent issues

Description

The instant requirement is for routine maintenance, repair, and purchasing of replacement parts for machines manufactured by TruFitness Equipment, Life Fitness Equipment, and Hammer Strength.

Scope 1. Provide preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.to the  following: Manufacture is TruFitness Equipment, Life Fitness Equipment and Hammer Strength. a. Elliptical/Cross Trainer Machine (qty 4) b. Treadmill (qty 5) c. Flex strider (qty 3) d. Upright Bike (qty 2) e. Recumbent bike (qty 2) f. Spinner Bike (qty 2) g. Chest (Multi-Press) Exercise machine (qty 1) h. Fly/rear deltoid/Pectoral machine (qty 1) i. Leg curl and extension machine (qty 1) j. abdominal machine (qty 1) k. rower machines (qty 2), l. Barbells (20lbs – 110 lbs. with rack) (qty 1 set) m. Flat weight bench (qty 1) n. Kettlebells (qty 1 set) o. Vertical Smith (qty 1) p. Plate Loaded Row (qty 1) q. Olympic Squat Rack (qty 1) r. Utility Bench (qty 1) s. Plate Loaded Linear Leg Press (qty 1) t. Olympic Flat bench (qty 1) u. Plate Loaded Kneeling Leg Curl (qty 1) v. Plate Loaded Leg Extension (qty 1) 2. Reupholster benches, pads, and other equipment/items on site with material that meets or exceeds the original  manufacturer fabric/vinyl/rubber. 3. Replace end caps, protective covers, and trim pieces as required on all equipment in the fitness center. 4. Perform parts replacement and sanding and painting as necessary to remove and prevent rust on metal parts. 5. Inspect all equipment in the fitness center and lubricate guide rods, pulleys, and any moving parts as appropriate per  manufacturer recommendations. 6. Provide a list of replacement parts required, with description of reason for replacement and replacement cost, to be  installed/replaced during the next scheduled visit, to keep all equipment in nominal operational order. 7. Services shall be performed quarterly in accordance with manufacturer’s frequency. 8. Provide up to a single visit per contract period to respond to defects that may need urgent attention due to a safety  issue such as exposed sharp edges, frayed electrical cables or other similar defect. Security Requirements: COMPLEX ACCESS AND ESCORTING This PWS requires all contractor personnel to obtain a ‘green’ contractor badge. This badge allows the contractor  personnel to gain access to and remain inside the fitness center without needing a dedicated escort. This requires a  thorough background check be performed for all contractor personnel that must have access to accomplish the contract
