This opportunity is for emergency prescription medication dispensing services for the Alexandria Veterans Healthcare System (AVAHCS) and six Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Louisiana. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office 16 - Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Network Contracting Office 16 - OEMs and Vendors: - Express Scripts Network (primary pharmacy network) - Pharmacies must participate in CVS Caremark, Walgreens, Walmart, or Rite Aid networks - Products/Services Requested: - Emergency access to fill prescriptions for urgent and emergent medication needs - Includes antibiotics, pain medications, insulin, and other critical drugs - Pharmacy management services: prescription screening, dispensing, counseling, medication history, allergy and interaction checks, and printed drug information - Product Line Items: - Emergency access to fill prescriptions for AVAHCS and 6 CBOCs (base period and four option periods, each 12 months) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Pharmacies must be located within the Continental US - Must be part of major pharmacy networks (CVS Caremark, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid) - Services must ensure urgent and emergent medication access for veterans - Contract covers both base and four option periods, totaling up to five years

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5 for Certain Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested, and a written solicitation document will be issued.

This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2023- 06 (eff. 12/04/2023), VAAR Update 2008-37 (eff. 07/28/2023), and Acquisition Policy Flash 23-15 (eff. 07/28/2023).

Contractor is required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Vendor quote may be considered non-compliant and rejected if the Contracting Officer is unable to verify registration and certification status.

The Contractor shall provide Water Storage Tank Inspection and Maintenance Services for the Alexandria – Veterans Administration Healthcare System Fire Water Storage Complex.  This inspection will determine the condition of the coatings, structure, instruments, and cleanliness of each tank as defined to accomplish complete technical reports, contract drawings, specifications, deficiencies discovered, and cost estimates.

This will be a Firm-Fixed Priced (FFP) contract award that will be awarded to the lowest price offeror.
