FCI McDowell in Welch, WV is soliciting bids for a range of kosher and halal food products for the first quarter of fiscal year 27. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCI McDowell - Products Requested: - Kosher chicken wing meals (16 oz, bone-in wings, BBQ sauce, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables) - Kosher tuna, chunk light in water (4-6 oz packages) - Kosher mayonnaise packets (9g, regular/reduced fat/fat free/light) - Kosher instant coffee packets (single serving) - Mustard packets (yellow salad style, 9g) - Kosher vegetable juice (5-7 oz pouch/can, tomato-based with five additional vegetables) - Halal bologna luncheon meat (chicken or turkey, frozen, 4 oz portion) - Halal cheese omelet meals (7 oz, plain egg omelet, cheese, potatoes) - Halal fish fillet meals (14 oz, white fish, tomato sauce, rice, lima beans) - Halal meatloaf meals (16 oz, ground beef, brown gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables) - Halal spaghetti and meatballs meals (20 oz, beef meatballs, spaghetti, tomato sauce, sweet peas) - Halal chicken wing meals (16 oz, bone-in wings, BBQ sauce, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables) - Quantities: - Ranging from 40 to 100,000 units depending on item - Unique Requirements: - All products must have valid kosher or halal certification (hechsher or halal symbol required) - Portion sizes and packaging must match specifications - Restrictions on binders and extenders for meat products - Vendors must annotate any differences in case counts and prices on the bid sheet - Delivery of expired or non-compliant items may result in exclusion from future awards - No specific OEMs or brands are named; certification and quality standards are emphasized.

Description

Evaluations will be based upon past performance, socio‐economic status, overall price and delivery schedule. Greater emphasis will be placed upon past performance and delivery schedule. In addition to your price, if your quantities such as case count differ from what is posted, please do the calculations to match what your price would be as if you were delivering what is posted also post your actual case count and price as well. If the calculations are not done and annotated on the bid sheet, your line item bid price will not be accepted. Due to numerous items that have attempted delivery with expired dates or not meeting specifications, etc....., we will document those items and you will be listed on a do not award list for the following quarter. Meaning if you submit a bid on future solicitations and you have past performance issues the entire bid will be void. Past performance issues can encompass numerous issues. If our warehouse rejects any item, please be respectful and just pick it back up.
