The U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), National Air and Dust Laboratory (NADL) in Beaver, WV, is seeking battery replacement and maintenance services for an Eaton Model 9355 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), National Air and Dust Laboratory (NADL) - OEMs and Vendors: - Eaton Corporation (OEM and sole authorized service provider) - Products Requested: - Eaton Model 9355 UPS battery replacement - 108 sealed, cabinet-type batteries (part number: PWHR1234W2FR) - Installation of new batteries and EPA-approved removal/disposal of old batteries - Batteries must meet original equipment specifications - Services Requested: - Annual preventative maintenance for UPS electronics and batteries - 24/7 customer support with standard 8-hour emergency response - UPS firmware and software upgrades performed by qualified, factory-trained technicians - Maintenance services provided for a 1-year base period plus four 12-month option periods - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Sole source procurement due to proprietary technology; only Eaton is authorized to service the UPS - All maintenance and upgrades must be performed by factory-trained Eaton technicians - Emergency response within 8 hours - EPA-approved battery disposal required

Description

This is a sole source Request for Proposal (RFP) to Eaton Corporation. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE), on behalf of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), has a need for Battery Replacement and Maintenance Services for an Eaton Model 9355 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), in accordance with this RFP. This RFP will result in a single award. The Period of Performance shall be for one (1) Base Period of 12 months and four (4) 12-month Option Periods.
