DLA Maritime - Pearl Harbor and the U.S. Navy's PHNSY & IMF are seeking to procure specialized cable assemblies for submarine shore power systems. - Government Buyers: - Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime - Pearl Harbor, Competitive Sourcing Division - U.S. Navy, PHNSY & IMF, C990, X99 office - OEM Highlight: - TPC Wire and Cable Corp is the sole-source manufacturer due to proprietary patent rights for molded connectors - Products Requested: - Shore Power Connector Assembly (TPC Wire and Cable, part number MA206007F015) - 500MCM/3 conductor THOF-E cable, 15 feet in length - Three male TPC Molded Locking Connectors to M24368/5 Joy plug (outboard 90 degree) - Total quantity: 4 units (1 for Navy, 3 for DLA) - Unique Requirements: - Traceability documentation to TPC Wire and Cable Corp required - Compatibility with existing submarine shore power systems is critical - Unique item identification per DFARS 252.211-7003 - Delivery to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard - Sole-source justification based on proprietary patent rights to prevent mission-critical failures - Evaluation Criteria: - Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) - Vendor responsibility determined by PPIRS and FAR 9.104 standards

This is sole source solicitation.

THIS solicitation  has a traceability requirement: 

Offerors are required to submit  traceability back to the MFR.  Failure to provide this information may result in your quotation being determined technically unacceptable.

Examples of acceptable traceability are:  1) A copy of a quotation from an approved source specified in the solicitation; 2) A copy of the letter from the approved source stating that your company is an authorized dealer/distributor for  the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your company as an authorized dealer/distributors; or 3) A copy of the letter from an approved source specified in the solicitation stating that the company you are procuring the item from is an authorized dealer/distributor for the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your source as its authorized dealer/distributors, along with a copy of the dealer/distributor’s quotation to you for the item quoted.  

Evaluation criteria is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). PPIRS will be used to determine vendor responsibility.  Potential contractors will be screened for responsibility in accordance with FAR 9.104.
