Geotechnical Health Monitoring Services for Middle Creek and Downie Lake Dams

The Water Security Agency (WSA) of Saskatchewan is seeking geotechnical health monitoring services for Middle Creek and Downie Lake Dams. - Government Buyer: - Water Security Agency (WSA), a Treasury Board Crown corporation responsible for water management in Saskatchewan - Vendors/OEMs: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products and Services Requested: - Geotechnical site inspections and surveys - Review of existing data and identification of knowledge gaps - Development of a work plan for field investigation - Drilling program for installation of geotechnical instrumentation - 8 boreholes for Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VWPs) - Four 30 m holes at crest and four 18 m holes at toe - Each hole includes one data logger and three VWPs (total 4 data loggers and 12 VWPs) - 4 boreholes for Slope Inclinometers (SIs) - Two 15 m boreholes per dam in mid slope bench - 2 drill pads (approx. 200 m3 soil each) for SI installations - Soil sampling and laboratory testing to determine material strength parameters - Preparation of factual geotechnical investigation reports - Project management, bi-weekly meetings, monthly progress reports, health and safety planning, and final project closeout - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Professional engineering registration required - Compliance with environmental regulations and ground disturbance permits - Adherence to Aquatic Habitat Protection Permit (AHPP) requirements - WSA reserves the right to award all, part, or none of the work depending on budget availability - Scope includes both on-site and virtual work - Project is divided into two phases: - Phase 1: Site inspections, surveys, and work plan development - Phase 2: Drilling, instrumentation installation, sample collection, laboratory testing, and reporting

This solicitation is for geotechnical assessment services at Middle Creek and Downie Lake Dams.
