The Western Development Museum (WDM) Saskatoon Branch is seeking qualified electrical contractors for compliance, investigation, and minor corrective services based on recommendations from an electrical distribution assessment. - Government Buyer: - Western Development Museum (WDM), Facilities and Safety Manager - OEMs and Vendors: - Englobe Engineering (assessment and recommendations) - Schneider Electric (Square D and Federal Pioneer equipment identified in facility) - Products/Services Requested: - Verification and replacement of approximately nine (9) 150 amp fuses with 100 amp fuses - Load measurements on approximately 30 electrical panels - Replacement of distributions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 with proper equipment - Cable sizing review and replacement of non-compliant cabling - Panel replacement as a yearly maintenance item - Electrical load monitoring and power factor analysis - Review of power factor correction system (capacitor bank) - Review of electrical clearance deficiencies - Comprehensive documentation and reporting - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractors must provide all labour, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and technical support - Warranty for labour and materials required (one year from substantial completion) - Insurance coverage and compliance with Canadian Electrical Code and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety legislation - Major electrical modernization, wholesale panel replacement, and significant infrastructure upgrades are excluded from this phase - Detailed documentation and reporting to support future asset management - Estimated contract value ranges from $4,250 (fuse replacement) to $75,000 (distribution replacements), with ongoing yearly maintenance for panel replacements

The Western Development Museum (WDM) is seeking quotations from qualified electrical contractors to provide electrical compliance, investigation, verification, and minor corrective services at the WDM Saskatoon Branch located at 2610 Lorne Avenue, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) supports the implementation of recommendations identified through an electrical distribution assessment completed by Englobe Engineering. The project aims to correct identified compliance deficiencies, validate existing electrical system information, improve infrastructure documentation, and support future electrical asset management. Major electrical modernization, wholesale panel replacement, and significant infrastructure upgrades are not included in this phase of work.
