Foster City is seeking qualified janitorial service providers for its Community Center. - Government Buyer: - City of Foster City, Parks and Recreation Department, Building Maintenance Division - Scope of Services: - Routine janitorial cleaning for a 38,748 sq ft facility (restrooms, offices, fitness rooms, event areas, commercial kitchen) - Day porter/building services during operating hours and events - Additional janitorial labor, including emergency response and after-hours call-out - Event support: pre-event, during event, post-event cleaning, room turnover, and kitchen cleaning - Specialty cleaning: carpet extraction, spot cleaning, hard floor restoration, high dusting, pressure washing, window cleaning (interior/exterior) - Holiday cleaning and premium rates for holiday/emergency services - Requirements: - Contractor provides all labor, equipment, PPE, supervision, and insurance - City supplies consumables (e.g., paper products, soap) - Mandatory facility walk-through for proposers - Compliance with City insurance and contract terms - Submission of references and completed bid forms - No specific OEMs or branded products are required; open to all qualified janitorial firms - Pricing must cover all aspects of service, including labor, supplies, equipment, and overhead - Contract term is two years, with possible extensions up to 36 months (increments of 2-12 months) - Services billed monthly, hourly, per square foot, or per occurrence depending on task

Description

The City of Foster City is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive janitorial services for the Foster City Community Center. The contract term is from October 5, 2026, to October 4, 2028, with possible extensions up to 36 months. Proposals must be submitted electronically by September 3, 2026, and a mandatory walk-through of the facility is required.
