Description
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has received a petition from Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. seeking a determination of nonregulated status for the genetically engineered COR-23134-4 soybean. This soybean has been developed using genetic engineering to express proteins Cry1B.34.1, Cry1B.61.1, and IPD083Cb to protect against certain susceptible lepidopteran pests, and includes the GM-HRA protein as a selectable marker. APHIS has made the petition and draft plant pest risk assessment available for public review and comment until October 19, 2026. The draft assessment concludes that the soybean is unlikely to pose an increased plant pest risk compared to the nonmodified variety.
