The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) announces the availability of new World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84)-based Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Official Protraction Diagrams (OPDs). These diagrams depict geographic areas offshore the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) identified for potential OCS mineral leasing and environmental analysis. The OPDs may be used in descriptions of potential OCS mineral lease sales off CNMI. Additional OPDs for other areas offshore CNMI are expected to be published in the future.
