US Embassy Accra solicits LES Global Medical Coverage Health Insurance Services

The U.S. Embassy Accra, under the Department of State, is seeking proposals for health insurance services to cover its Local Employee Staff (LES) with Global Medical Coverage. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Embassy Accra, Department of State - Services Requested: - Global Medical Coverage Health Insurance for LES - Firm fixed price contract structure - Base year plus four one-year option periods - Requirements: - Coverage must be global in scope for local staff - Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory prior to award - The government may award based on initial offers without discussions - Pre-proposal conference will be announced in the solicitation - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Notable Details: - All responsible sources may submit proposals - The contract is for health insurance services, not products

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Ghana will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available.

The requirement is U. S. Embassy Accra LES Global Medical Coverage (GMC) Health Insurance Services.

The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.  All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered.   The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.  

The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for the conference will be in the solicitation.  

All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov  prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals.
