Description
The Focused Research Group activity supports collaborative groups using innovative methods to solve major research challenges in the mathematical sciences. Projects should be timely, limited to up to three years, and have substantial scope and impact. Interdisciplinary and risky projects are welcome, and funded projects showing substantial progress may receive an extension of up to two additional years. Eligible applicants include US institutions of higher education acting on behalf of their faculty members.
