The State of California is seeking bids for the one-time purchase of a new, high wing, single engine airplane for the Department of Parks and Recreation. - Government Buyer: - State of California, Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD) - On behalf of Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) - Aircraft Requirements: - Latest model year (2026 or newer), currently in production - FAA-certified, fixed tricycle landing gear, turbocharged gasoline or turboprop engine (minimum 310 HP) - Minimum 6-seater capacity - Factory-installed air conditioning, heavy-duty battery, and custom EPA-approved paint - Comprehensive avionics suite including: - Garmin G1000 NXi integrated cockpit - Garmin GFC 700 autopilot - Garmin GTX 345R transponder with ADS-B - Synthetic Vision Technology, Traffic Advisory System (TAS), Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS), SiriusXM weather, Enhanced Search and Rescue features - All equipment must be new (no used, refurbished, or discontinued models) - Delivery & Warranty: - Delivery to Sacramento McClellan Airport within 12–18 months of purchase order - One-year warranty service at Mather Airport - Training: - Classroom and hands-on training for operators and maintenance staff within 60 days of acceptance - Documentation & Compliance: - Bidders must submit cost worksheets, technical narratives, and certifications - Compliance with state preferences (e.g., DVBE, small business) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; bidders must propose compliant aircraft and equipment
