California State University, Fresno is seeking a design-build contractor to provide professional design, engineering, permitting, construction, commissioning, and closeout services for The Forge – Ag-Tech, Bio-Tech, and Engineering Innovation Center. The project involves the adaptive reuse and renovation of the existing Forestry Building into a multidisciplinary facility supporting agricultural technology, biotechnology, engineering, workforce development, research collaboration, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The selected design-build entity will validate and refine the conceptual design while maintaining the design intent and functional objectives. The contract duration is approximately 655 calendar days with an estimated design-build cost of $5,200,000 plus an add-alternate of $2,000,000 for a ground-up building adjacent to the existing structure.
