(manufacturer of the Beta Alia CX300 aircraft) - Products/Services Requested: - Up to 8 flight hours using the Beta Alia CX300 aircraft at Burlington, VT (CLIN 0001) - Up to 8 flight hours using the Beta Alia CX300 aircraft at KNHK Patuxent River (CLIN 0002) - Flight demonstration support services including qualified safety pilot, maintenance, flight gear, logistics, and inspection support - Product Details: - Aircraft must be dual-controlled, meet FAA standards, and operate in controlled airspace - Support includes maintenance, flight gear, and logistics - Unique Requirements: - Demonstration flights must be conducted at both contractor and government facilities - Qualified safety pilot required for all operations - Aircraft and support must enable training for DoD and allied flight test personnel

Solicitation Information

All quotes/responses shall be submitted via email to JaNae Lester at janae.a.lester.civ@us.navy.mil no later than Thursday, August 20, 2026 @ 2:00 PM EST.  

Solicitation N0042126Q1335 is issued as an intent to sole source.  The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with BETA Technologies, Inc., under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 13.106-1(b).   

This is a firm fixed-price procurement; therefore, the offeror’s intial offer should represent the vendor’s best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability. 

Basis for Award

The Government intends to award this on a sole source basis.  All interested parties MUST submit their capabilities and a quote no later than Thursday, August 20, 2026 @ 2:00 PM EST.  The Government will make a decision to consider other offers.
