The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is seeking a contractor for drydock and dockside repairs of the USCGC VIGOROUS (WMEC 627) for fiscal year 2027. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Coast Guard, SFLC Procurement Branch 1 (CPD 1 - Norfolk, VA), Department of Homeland Security - Point of contact: Ms. Alissa Gavalian - Scope of Work: - Drydock repairs at a certified facility accessible by navigable water with specific depth and clearance requirements - Structural repairs, hull plating ultrasonic testing, preservation of underwater and superstructure surfaces, system flushing, welding, and temporary services - Inspection, repair, cleaning, and renewal of ship components: propulsion shafting, controllable pitch propellers, sea valves, tanks, rudder assemblies, and exhaust systems - Overhaul and renewal of sea strainers, shaft seals, bearings, and cathodic protection zinc anodes - Replacement and installation of key components: Doppler speed log, fathometer transducer, reduction gear lube oil strainer assemblies - Option items for additional preservation and renewal tasks - Temporary services including office space, utilities, hazardous waste disposal, heavy lift equipment, and storage - Products Requested (Government-Furnished Equipment): - Propeller shafts (2010-01-092-5810), intermediate line shafts (2010-01-141-3512), stern tube seal assemblies (2040-01-433-6781), rudder stock sleeves (2040-01-653-9587), propeller blades (2010-01-134-7238, 2010-01-134-0378), propeller blade bolts and washers, servo box seal kits, reduction gear seals, Doppler speed log transducer (FURUNO DS-630-30, 5845-01-678-5056), fathometer transducer (5845-01-668-2181), sea strainers (multiple sizes), fluid filter heads and elements, stern tube and strut sleeves, hull ring, rope wire assembly, hook release, davit control console - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must provide detailed technical, experience, past performance, and pricing submissions - All work must be performed at a certified dry-dock facility meeting strict navigational and clearance criteria - Option for increased quantity with separately priced line items - Government-furnished property (GFP) report required - Labor rates and material markup fees for open and inspect repairs - No specific OEMs are named for the products; however, FURUNO is referenced for the Doppler speed log transducer.
