The U.S. Air Force at Beale Air Force Base is conducting market research for a comprehensive project in Building 1060 involving carpet replacement, furniture moving and storage, and asbestos abatement. - Government Buyer: - United States Air Force, 9 OSS (Base Ops), Headquarters 9th Reconnaissance Wing (ACC), Beale Air Force Base - OEMs and Vendors: - Multiple carpet tile manufacturers specified: - Engineered Floors - Interface Americas - Mohawk - Mannington - Tarkett - Milliken - Bentley Mills - Products/Services Requested: - Carpet tile materials (373, 177, 86, and 636 square yards across main and optional CLINs) - Carpet tile installation labor - Adhesive materials (25, 12, 6 gallons) - Cove base materials (1900, 1100, 600, and 3600 linear feet) - Cove base installation labor - All other materials needed for carpet removal/installation - Asbestos abatement services (removal, notifications, disposal, air clearance sampling, hazardous waste manifest) - Furniture removal, storage, and reinstallation (approx. 1530 sq ft) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Project divided into three geographical phases, each requiring full cycle of furniture removal, asbestos abatement, carpet installation, and furniture return - Carpet tiles must be from specified manufacturers and meet outlined specifications - Contractor must comply with federal, state, and local asbestos regulations, and base security requirements - Work hours are Monday-Friday, 0700-1600, excluding federal holidays and base closures - Optional CLINs allow for additional quantities at lower priority - All fixed items must be protected from asbestos exposure during abatement - Air clearance sampling and hazardous waste manifest submission required for asbestos abatement - Secure storage and careful reinstallation of furniture required
