Fire Suppression System Repairs and Inspections at Yosemite National Park

The National Park Service at Yosemite National Park is seeking qualified contractors to repair and maintain fire suppression systems across 40 residential locations in El Portal, Yosemite Valley, Wawona, and Mather Districts. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Yosemite National Park (Buildings and Grounds; ConOps West / Yosemite MABO) - Scope of Work: - Repair fire suppression deficiencies identified during annual and 5-year inspections - Maintenance and replacement of components for 43 fire suppression systems - Tasks include replacing recalled and painted sprinkler heads, out-of-date gauges, leaking gate valves, installing UL/FM approved backflow devices, flow switch wiring, alarm bells, head boxes with heads and wrenches, signage, escutcheon plates, and tightening fittings - Perform 5-year and annual inspections with passing reports per NFPA 25 standards, accepted by the State Fire Marshal - Restore systems to operational status and troubleshoot alarms - Products/Services Requested: - UL/FM approved backflow devices and Upnor/PEX compression style pipe and fittings - Sprinkler heads (including recalled and painted), gauges, gate valves, signage, flow switch wiring, head boxes, head wrenches, escutcheon plates, alarm bells, Unistrut clamps, ITV installation - Inspection, testing, maintenance, and repairs for fire suppression systems - Quantities: - Multiple units per item, including up to 30 recalled sprinkler heads for a single location, 40 five-year inspections, and numerous signage and component replacements - Unique Requirements: - All work must comply with NFPA standards and achieve passing reports - Prior experience with similar fire suppression projects required - 100% small business set-aside - Firm fixed price contract - Completion required within 120 days from notice to proceed - No specific OEMs or part numbers are listed; all products must be UL/FM approved and meet NFPA standards
