The Bureau of Reclamation's Western Colorado Area Office is seeking contractors for the East Canal Efficiency Improvement Project near Olathe, Colorado. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin Region, Western Colorado Area Office - Project Scope: - Construction services for canal efficiency improvements - Major work includes furnishing and installing: - 4,200+ linear feet of 36-inch HDPE pipe - 170 linear feet of two parallel 54-inch HDPE pipes - 65 feet of 48-inch and 100 feet of 42-inch polypropylene profile wall pipe - Concrete hydraulic structures (inlet/outlet structures, spillways, siphons, ramp flume, check structures) - Metal fabrications (guardrails, walkway grating, trash racks, vault covers, guard posts) - Valves, PVC pipe, and appurtenances - Flow measuring equipment (data logger, water level sensor, solar power unit, etc.) - Seeding, gravel surfacing, riprap, and earthwork - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Project must be substantially complete before the irrigation season to avoid disruptions - Environmental controls and safety measures are required - Coordination with local water users is necessary - Targeted at small businesses with bonding capability and relevant construction experience - No specific OEMs or proprietary part numbers are identified; contractors may propose suitable manufacturers for HDPE/polypropylene pipes, valves, and equipment - Estimated contract value: $5 million to $10 million
