The Department of Defense, through the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES) at Dover AFB, is seeking comprehensive pipette calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair services for its AFDIL and FORTOX laboratories. - Government Buyer: - Department of Defense - Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES) - AFMES RM, Dover AFB - Scope of Services: - Semi-annual on-site preventive maintenance, calibration, documentation, and unlimited repair services for 975 pipettes (750 at AFDIL, 225 at FORTOX) - Calibration must meet ISO/IEC 17025 standards for AFDIL pipettes; standard calibration for FORTOX - Services include inspection, minor repairs, calibration with uncertainty calculations, certification, and documentation - All labor, parts, shipping, and travel are included - Strict security and access requirements for technicians, including background checks and DNA sampling for AFDIL - Products/Equipment Covered: - Wide range of pipette types and brands, including: - Rainin pipetlite (OEM: Rainin) - Gilson pipetman and microman (OEM: Gilson) - Thermo Finnpipette (OEM: Thermo Fisher Scientific) - MLA Fixed and MLA FV (OEM: MLA) - Brand Handy Step - Repeat (OEM: Brand) - Hamilton Dilutor (OEM: Hamilton) - Sartorius pipettes (OEM: Sartorius) - Multichannel and single-channel, electronic and manual pipettes - Specific quantities for each model, ranging from 1 to 5000 units - Unique Requirements: - On-site service at Dover AFB, DE - ISO/IEC 17025 calibration certification required for AFDIL - Security protocols including background checks and DNA sampling for service technicians - Period of Performance: - Semi-annual service visits, with a base period of one year and four one-year option periods (total up to five years) - Service coordination required 15 days prior to each visit - No specific service vendors named; only OEMs of pipettes are identified.

Description

The purpose of this requirement is to request preventive maintenance, calibration, documentation, and repair service agreement on medical research equipment and scientific instrumentation to include; labor, parts, shipping, and travel on the equipment the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory (AFDIL) and the Forensic Toxicology (FORTOX) Laboratory.  The performance outcome mandated by the Government is scheduled service and unlimited repair services in accordance with the manufacture’s literature specifications for ISO/IEC 17025 calibration service for AFDIL’s 750 pipettes and FORTOX’s 225 pipettes.
