Description
The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG Model Trent XWB-75, XWB-79, XWB-79B, and XWB-84 engines. This AD is prompted by reports of lower than expected differential oil pressure measurements on in-service engines. The directive would require modification of the engine with an improved front bearing housing oil feed tube assembly and prohibit installation of the affected assembly on any engine. The FAA aims to address the unsafe condition that could lead to engine in-flight shutdown or loss of airplane control.
