The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 1, is seeking proposals for a nationwide, 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to supply anesthesia units and related medical equipment and services. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) - Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO 1) - Contracting Officer: Sarah Scott - Products Requested: - Anesthesia Units (including accessories, installation, consumables, and maintenance) - MRI Anesthesia Units - Anesthesia Vaporizers - Patient Monitors - Servers and Workstations - Additional equipment (modules, barcode scanners, label printers, RFID, scavenger systems, humidifiers, ventilators) - Accessories and mounting hardware (booms, mounts, carts) - Loaner and rental equipment - Software and hardware upgrades - Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Anesthesia Record Keeping integration/interoperability (HL7) - Consumables (startup kits, filters, tubing, hosing) - Trade-in options for existing equipment - Services Requested: - Delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning (white glove service) - On-site clinical and biomedical engineering training - Warranty and maintenance services (minimum 12-month warranty, post-warranty maintenance agreements) - Service maintenance contracts (full coverage, parts only, PM only, emergency repair, software upgrades, on-site support) - Professional services and additional services as needed - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All anesthesia systems must be FDA approved - Compliance with VA and federal security and safety standards - Cybersecurity and remote monitoring capabilities - Integration with VA's Electronic Health Record and Anesthesia Record Keeping systems (HL7 interoperability) - National coverage for all VA medical centers - Minimum 12-month manufacturer's warranty for all equipment - Emergency service response within 24 hours during warranty period - Training for both clinical and biomedical staff - Trade-in pricing for existing equipment - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; part numbers and models are to be determined by the vendor. - Quantities are generally one unit per line item per contract year, repeated annually for ten years.

Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to solicit for anesthesia units (to include warranty, maintenance and training) for inclusion into the National Equipment Catalog (NEC). This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for anesthesia units at the national level. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to establish Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts. This solicitation will result in multiple awards. The ID/IQs will cover the entire nation. The contract s performance period is for ten years, inclusive of a five-year base period and one, five-year option period. Telephone requests for information or questions will NOT be accepted.
