The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 1, is seeking proposals for a nationwide, 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to supply anesthesia units and related equipment and services for inclusion in the National Equipment Catalog (NEC). - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) - Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO 1) - Contracting Officer: Sarah Scott - Products and Equipment Requested: - Anesthesia units (including MRI-compatible units) - Anesthesia vaporizers - Patient monitors - Servers and workstations - Accessories (modules, barcode scanners, label printers, RFID, scavenger systems, humidifiers, ventilators, etc.) - Mounting hardware (booms, mounts, carts) - Loaner and rental equipment - Software and hardware upgrades - Consumables (startup kits, filters, tubing, hosing) - Trade-in options for old equipment - Services Requested: - Installation, staging, commissioning, and white glove delivery - Clinical and biomedical engineering training (on-site and offsite) - Warranty (minimum 12 months), maintenance, and service contracts (including preventative and emergency maintenance) - Integration with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Anesthesia Record Keeping systems (HL7 interoperability) - Ongoing support, software updates, and professional services - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All anesthesia systems must be FDA approved - Compliance with VA and federal security, safety, and cybersecurity standards - Remote monitoring capabilities - National coverage for all VA Medical Centers - Delivery within 60 days of each order unless otherwise specified - Minimum one-year warranty with comprehensive support - Training for both clinical and biomedical staff - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; part numbers are to be determined (TBD) and vendors must identify proposed manufacturers and models. - The contract is structured for annual procurement and support over a ten-year period, with a five-year base and a five-year option.
Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to solicit for anesthesia units (to include warranty, maintenance and training) for inclusion into the National Equipment Catalog (NEC). This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) for anesthesia units at the national level. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to establish Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts. This solicitation will result in multiple awards. The ID/IQs will cover the entire nation. The contract s performance period is for ten years, inclusive of a five-year base period and one, five-year option period. Telephone requests for information or questions will NOT be accepted.
