NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) is seeking to procure space-grade EMI filters and DC/DC converters for the Aeolus instrument suite's WFCC and SuRSeP Power Boards. - Sole source procurement to VPT Inc, the only OEM specified for these components - Required products: - 28V to 12V 1.5W DC/DC converters (6 units, VPT part numbers SVRCH2812S/H+ or SVRCH2812S/KL1) - 1.5W EMI filters (2 units, VPT part number SVRMH28F/H+) - 20W EMI filters (8 units, VPT part number SVLHF2812S/H+) - Components must match previous specifications and include screening documentation and certificates of conformance - Delivery period: 3 weeks for in-stock parts, 12 weeks for non-stock parts - Procurement managed by NASA/NSSC, performance at NASA Ames Research Center - NAICS code: 335999 (Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing) - Interested organizations may submit qualifications, but NASA has determined VPT Inc is the only source for these items

Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Purchase of space-grade EMI filters and DC/DC converters for the WFCC and SuRSeP Power Boards.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to VPT Inc 1971 Kraft DR STE 1000 Blacksburg Virginia 24060 – 6357 United States under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that VPT Inc is the sole provider of Purchase of space-grade EMI filters and DC/DC converters for the WFCC and SuRSeP Power Boards

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Ames Research Center (ARC). The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335999.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 8/19/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
