Description
The U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences supports foundational research through multiple programs in the chemical sciences. These programs include Chemical Catalysis, Chemical Measurement and Imaging, Chemical Mechanism, Function, and Properties, Chemical Structure and Dynamics, Chemical Synthesis, Chemical Systems and Solutions, Chemical Theory, Models and Computational Methods, Chemistry of Life Processes, and Macromolecular, Supramolecular, and Nanochemistry. The NSF MPS is interested in intellectually ambitious and potentially transformative foundational research that does not need to promise near-term product or commercial outcomes. Proposals may be submitted by non-profit, non-academic organizations, institutions of higher education, and federally recognized tribal nations.
