The Department of the Air Force, 56th Security Forces Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, is seeking information from vendors for the procurement of custom, mobile marksmanship training simulator systems. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force - 56th Fighter Wing (ACC) - 56th Security Forces Squadron (56 SFS/RA) - Products Requested: - 3 Custom Mobile Marksmanship Training Simulator Systems - Each system includes: - 1 Multi-Series optical laser detection camera - 2 High-performance gaming control computers - 2 Wireless keyboard and mouse sets - 1 Short-throw video projector - 1 High-output audio speaker system - 1 Operator display (minimum 22-inch monitor) - 1 Projection screen (minimum 94.5" H x 168" W edgeless) - 1 Heavy-duty ruggedized shockmount transport case - Simulated Weapons and Accessories: - 4 Dryfire Trainers per system (2 Sim M17/M18 IR, 2 SIM 4 IR) - 8 Simulated Recoil Weapons per system (4 M17/M18 handguns, 4 M4 carbines) - 16 spare M4 round-count magazines per system - 1 16-magazine charging dock per system - 2 CO2 refill stations per system - 1 Weapon transport case with custom foam inserts per system - 4 portable tactical barricades per system - Unique Requirements: - Minimum five-year warranty on all systems - On-site training for system operation - Custom, mobile solution tailored for marksmanship training - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or vendor names are mentioned in the documents. - Vendors are requested to provide specification sheets, pricing, and feedback on requirements.

Description

SUBJECT: Request for Information (RFI) for 56 SFS Mobile Marksmanship Training Simulator. 

             1.    This is a RFI notice only. This RFI is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10.   

The 56th Contracting Squadron is seeking market information from qualified, experienced and interested vendors who can supply the items and perform services outlined below and in the attached draft Salient Characteristics for 56 SFS Mobile Marksmanship Training Simulator. 

2.    Request interested firms respond to the following:

a.    Identify your firm’s information (name, address, phone number, CAGE code). b.    Identify if your company is a large or small business.  If applicable, identify what small business program(s) (i.e. SBA Certified 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, HubZone, etc.) your company is certified as.   c.    Identify the appropriate amount of calendar days required to respond to a RFP. d.    What is the timeframe needed from time of award to transition and begin new service. e.    What is the ROM for each unit? f.    Please provide specification sheets for proposed solution, if possible. g.    Any other comments, feedback or response on how to improve this requirement is highly encouraged.  h.    The Government wants to ensure transparency of this process and ensure interested firms are provided the same information.  If your firm has a question regarding this RFI, can the Government post your firm’s questions, along with the Government’s response, in FedBizOpps, GSA, etc. (your firm’s name will not be disclosed to the public)?

3.    Only electronic responses will be accepted.  Please send responses via email to the primary point of contact, Rachel Tilley, at rachel.tilley.1@us.af.mil, no later than Monday, 24 August 2026, 1:00 PM Eastern Time.  Earlier submission is highly encouraged.

4.    This RFI notice is issued for planning purposes only.  Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate.  This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
