This opportunity is for the comprehensive maintenance and care of the Wasta dual site interstate rest area on Interstate 90 East and West near Wasta, South Dakota. - Government Buyer: - South Dakota Department of Transportation, Division of Operations, Operations Support Office - Scope of Services: - Daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual cleaning of buildings, restrooms, lobbies, and fixtures - Grounds maintenance including mowing, watering, fertilizing, weed and pest control, and trash removal - Upkeep of picnic shelters, pet exercise areas, water and sewage systems - Plumbing and electrical repairs (minor only; major repairs handled by the Department) - Snow and ice removal (excluding parking areas and driveways) - Maintenance of kiosks and video surveillance systems - Annual deep cleaning as specified in the Caretaker's Manual - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide labor, equipment, and perform minor repairs - Safety apparel and uniform requirements for staff - Compliance with state codes for wiring and plumbing - Liquidated damages for non-compliance - Site visits encouraged prior to proposal submission - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; opportunity is open to qualified service providers - Contract period is two years
