NYSERDA Solicits Proposals for Large Public Sector Level 2 EV Charging Site Portfolios Statewide

NYSERDA is inviting proposals from public sector organizations to develop large portfolios of Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging sites across New York State. - Government Buyer: - New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), Contract Management division - Eligible Applicants: - Public sector or government entities that will own or oversee the installed EVSE - Products/Services Requested: - Level 2 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) charging stations (minimum 6.2 kW per plug) - Off-street sites: at least four plugs, one ADA-compliant port - On-street sites: at least two plugs, one ADA-accessible port encouraged - Network services for EVSE from NYSERDA-approved providers - OEMs and Vendors: - Only equipment and network services from OEMs, white-labeled models, and network service providers approved by NYSERDA through RFQL 5312 are eligible - No specific OEMs named; only pre-approved manufacturers may be used - Unique Requirements: - Sites must be publicly owned and accessible - ADA accessibility required for at least one port per site - Equipment and network services must be NYSERDA-approved - Statewide program focused on expanding public EV charging infrastructure

Description

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is seeking proposals from public sector organizations to develop large portfolios of public Level 2 electric vehicle charging sites within their jurisdictions. The program requires that proposed locations be publicly owned, publicly accessible, and may be on- or off-street. Off-street sites must accommodate at least four plugs, and on-street sites must accommodate at least two plugs, all capable of charging vehicles at a minimum of 6.2 kW. Equipment and networks must be approved by NYSERDA through a specific qualification process.
