The City of Fresno Department of Transportation (FAX) is seeking professional Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms for elevator modernization design services at its facilities. - Government Buyer: - City of Fresno Department of Transportation (FAX) - FAX Contracting Officer - OEMs and Vendors: - Otis (manufacturer of the elevators to be modernized) - Products/Services Requested: - Evaluation, design, and engineering services for modernization of two Otis hydraulic elevators: - 2,500-pound passenger elevator (FAX administration building) - 4,000-pound freight elevator (FAX maintenance building) - Preparation of construction documents, permitting, code analysis, energy efficiency evaluation, and quality assurance review during construction - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Selected consultant and subconsultants are prohibited from participating as contractors or subcontractors in the construction phase - Emphasis on code compliance, accessibility improvements, and adherence to Davis-Bacon wage laws - Construction services will be procured separately - Consultant must provide ongoing support and quality assurance during construction phase

Description

The City of Fresno Department of Transportation (FAX) is seeking professional Architectural & Engineering (A&E) services for evaluation, design, and preparation of construction documents for modernization of elevator systems. The project includes modernization of an Otis hydraulic passenger elevator rated at 2,500 pounds in the FAX administration building and an Otis hydraulic freight elevator with a capacity of 4,000 pounds in the FAX maintenance building. The selected Consultant will assess existing conditions and develop engineering drawings, specifications, and recommendations to support the modernization. This contract is for professional A&E services only; construction services will be procured separately. The Consultant and subconsultants are prohibited from participating in the construction phase as contractors or subcontractors but will provide quality assurance during construction.
