Description
Parks Services is seeking to create a short list for manual fuel mitigation services in natural areas, potentially for a 3-year term with two optional 1-year extensions or a 5-year term. Contractors must demonstrate experience in fuel management prescriptions in urban natural areas, preferably in dry Okanagan forest ecosystems. The scope includes manual tree falling by certified fallers, pruning, thinning, and various debris disposal methods such as scattering, pile and burning, chipping and dispersal, and chipping and hauling near roads. Optional services include work near structures, active roads, power lines, and trail construction for equipment access.
