Johnson County Wastewater is seeking bids for the Douglas L. Smith Middle Basin Asset Renewal Project, a major upgrade to its wastewater treatment facility. - Government Buyer: - Johnson County Wastewater (Kansas), including Johnson County Water and Wastewater Facility - OEMs and Key Vendors: - Spirac (shaftless spiral conveyors) - Assmann/FRP (chemical storage tanks) - Greenheck (HVAC dampers) - Ruskin (HVAC dampers) - Boerger (rotary lobe pumps) - Eaton Corporation (variable frequency drives, motor control centers) - NORD (gear reducers, couplings) - WEG (motors) - Products and Equipment Requested: - New sodium hypochlorite storage tanks and fill stations (Assmann/FRP or equal) - Boerger rotary lobe pumps (Model CL 390, 6 units, 7.5 HP motors) - Spirac shaftless spiral conveyors - Greenheck Model HBTR-451 and Ruskin manual shutoff dampers - Eaton PowerXL packaged VFDs (multiple units, 30HP and 5HP) - Eaton MCC aftermarket units (for pumps) - NORD helical in-line speed reducers and couplings - WEG three-phase induction motor (7.5 HP) - Magnetic flowmeters, ultrasonic level transmitters, level switches, pressure gauges, and pressure switches (various part numbers) - Cast-in-place concrete (Class A, 5000 psi) - Services Requested: - Structural concrete repairs and restoration - Demolition of existing equipment (belt filter press, sodium hypochlorite tanks, piping, pumps) - Site improvements (access roadways, staging areas, utility connections) - Process control integration - Commissioning, functional testing, and owner training - Startup and acceptance testing for VFDs - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict operational constraints to avoid disruption of wastewater treatment - Detailed technical specifications for all equipment and materials - Allowances for concrete repair and environmental compliance - Phased construction and shutdowns coordinated with ongoing operations - Lead times for VFDs and MCCs specified - All questions and bids must be submitted via the IonWave procurement portal
