Description
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) Diversion Center announces funding availability for the administration of Crisis Intervention Team programs and adjacent systems transformation work in New York State. The CIT program is a partnership involving law enforcement, mental health and addiction professionals, individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders, their families, and other partners to improve community responses to mental health crises. The program aims to develop a more informed and effective crisis response system that is minimally intrusive and helps individuals access medical/mental health treatment to avoid criminal justice involvement. The RFP seeks a qualified contractor to manage the selection of CIT sites, coordinate and facilitate training, and provide ongoing technical assistance to selected sites and localities transforming their crisis response systems.
