Description

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) of Alaska is proposing to relinquish the State's entitlement land selection of the surface estate for a Native Allotment located near the Edgerton Highway and northwest of Chitina, Alaska. The allotment covers approximately 160 acres and is currently under Federal management. The relinquishment aims to facilitate conveyance of Dingell Act allotment application AA-97431, allowing eligible Alaska Native Vietnam Veterans to apply for land allotments. Public comments on this proposal are invited until 4:00 PM on September 28, 2026.
