The Department of Public Safety has applied for the FFY26 Local Law Enforcement Grants for Enforcement of Cybercrimes Program to establish the Alaska Cybercrime Response Network. This statewide initiative aims to strengthen the investigation and prosecution of cybercrimes against individuals in Alaska's rural and remote communities. The project includes regional multidisciplinary training, distribution of digital investigation equipment, victim-centered practices, and ongoing support from the Alaska Bureau of Investigation. The public is invited to review and provide written comments on the application narrative by August 28, 2026.
