Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) is seeking information from vendors for a new program to provide specialty care and diagnostic imaging services to uninsured adults: - Government Buyer: - Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) - Scope of Services: - Specialty care services across a broad range of medical specialties, including cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, mental health therapy, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pathology, podiatry, pulmonary, radiation oncology, rehabilitation, rheumatology, and urology - Diagnostic imaging services including X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography, DEXA scans, PET/CT, and echocardiography - Target Population: - Uninsured, low-income adults residing in Los Angeles County - Vendor Requirements: - At least 10 years of experience managing large specialty or diagnostic networks - Ability to meet Medi-Cal Managed Care access and geographic coverage standards - All providers and facilities must be properly licensed - Compliance with federal, state, and data security requirements - Capabilities for claims processing, provider payments, care coordination, telehealth, and integration with the LANES Health Information Exchange - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the RFI - Notable Requirements: - Vendors may offer specialty care, diagnostic imaging, or both - Must be able to add new specialties or imaging services within three months of contract - Services must be available countywide by the program launch date
Description
The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services is soliciting information from vendors capable of delivering quality specialty care and/or diagnostic imaging services to uninsured patients across Los Angeles County. These services support an uninsured health care program funded by LA County Measure ER, aimed at providing essential community-based care. Vendors may provide specialty care, diagnostic imaging services, or both, and must meet Medi-Cal Managed Care access and geographic coverage requirements. Responses to this RFI are due by August 27, 2026, and will inform potential future contracting.
