This opportunity is issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Division South Atlantic, Endist Mobile office for maintenance dredging of the Pensacola Harbor Entrance Channel in Florida. - Government Buyer: - US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Division South Atlantic, Endist Mobile office - Scope of Work: - Maintenance dredging of the Pensacola Harbor Entrance Channel - Use of hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredges, trailing suction hopper dredges, and/or mechanical dredges with scows - Dredges must reach depths of 39 feet - Contractors must provide crews, management staff, tugs, and other floating plant equipment - Dredged material (sand) to be placed along Perdido Key Beach, with a maximum pumping distance of 30,000 feet - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Unique Requirements: - Dredging equipment must be capable of handling maintenance material typical for the channel (sand) - Placement of material must occur west of the channel along Perdido Key Beach - Maximum pumping distance for placement is approximately 30,000 feet

Description

The requirement will be for hydraulic cutterhead pipeline dredges, trailing suction hopper dredges, and/or mechanical dredges with scows. Dredges must be capable of dredging to a depth of 39 feet and be complete with crew, management staff and support equipment including tugs and various other floating plants as would normally be expected to support a large dredging operation. The material type expected for this requirement will be maintenance material typical for Pensacola Entrance Channel composed of sand. Material dredged will be placed west of the Pensacola Entrance Channel along Perdido Key Beach. The maximum pumping distance for beach placement will be approximately 30,000-feet.
