Hillsborough County intends to recommend a sole source award to Tampa Truck Center, LLC. dba Southport Truck Group for maintenance, repairs, and supply of OEM parts services for Freightliner branded trucks and select fire apparatus. The contract is for one year with an estimated cost of $360,979. Tampa Truck Center is the only authorized service provider in the area with certified technicians and access to OEM diagnostic software and parts. The procurement is made under Section 3-205(e) of the County's Procurement Policy and is not a request for competitive bids, but challenges to the sole source award are allowed until the close date.
