Description

This project involves site work and construction of an approximately 4,300-square-foot, one-story addition to the existing Animal Shelter. The scope includes site clearing, preparation, paving, fencing, and construction of animal housing areas for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. The construction is classified as Type VB (5B) and includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related building systems for a fully operational facility. The existing shelter will remain operational during construction, requiring the contractor to develop a Site Safety and Phasing Plan to ensure safety and minimize disruption. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount and require a valid North Carolina General Contractors license.
