The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is determining under the Clean Air Act (CAA) that the Missouri portion of the St. Louis, MO-IL bi-state nonattainment area has achieved clean data for the 2015 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). This determination is based on complete, quality-assured, and certified ambient air monitoring data for the 2023-2025 design value period showing attainment of the 2015 ozone NAAQS. The EPA concurs with a portion of the exceptional events request submitted by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and is approving Missouri's clean data determination request. This final determination suspends certain nonattainment area planning requirements for Missouri as long as the area continues to attain the standard.
