This opportunity is for the replacement of the roof on Building 46 at the Sunmount DDSO facility, managed by the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). - Government Buyer: - New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Sunmount DDSO - Office: Maintenance Supervisor 2 - OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers): - GAF-ELK Materials Corporation (basis-of-design for shingles) - CertainTeed Corporation (approved equal for shingles) - Products/Materials Requested: - Approximately 5,000 sq/ft of asphalt shingles (charcoal color, glass-fiber-reinforced, Timberline HD Lifetime High-Definition Shingles by GAF-ELK or approved equal) - Ice & water barrier (ASTM D1970/D1970M, 40-mil thick, glass-fiber-mat-reinforced, SBS-modified asphalt) - Shingle ridge caps (to match shingles) - Composite insulation board (replacement as needed for deteriorated 4-inch thermacal ventilated board) - Drip edge (white, heavy gauge aluminum, 0.024 inches thick) - Exhaust vent covers (to code-required height) - Metal flashing and trim (aluminum, color to match shingles) - Services Requested: - Complete removal and replacement of the existing roofing system - Installation of all specified materials and components - Site safety, daily cleanup, and compliance with NYS Public Works prevailing wage requirements - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only New York State-certified MWBE, SDVOB, or small business contractors are eligible - Mandatory site visit required - Strict adherence to safety, property protection, and certified payroll - All work must be completed within 60 days of contract award, during standard weekday hours
