The Department of the Air Force, through the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), is seeking to procure a high-precision LiDAR system for use with small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force - Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) - OEMs and Vendors: - EchoOne (explicitly mentioned as the reference OEM) - "Or equal" provision allows for equivalent systems from other manufacturers - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) EchoOne small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) System or equivalent - Complete, fully operational package including sensor, mounts, adapters, cabling, and storage - Perpetual software licenses and 12 months of maintenance included - Must be compatible with FreeFly Astro sUAS - Must provide survey-grade point cloud data with 2cm vertical accuracy - Capable of resolving multiple returns per pulse (≥ 5 returns per pulse) for bare-earth detection beneath dense vegetation - Total payload weight must not exceed 1.7 kg - Unique or Notable Requirements: - System must comply with NDAA FY2020, FY2023, and FY2024 requirements (restricting certain foreign components) - All necessary software must be provided with perpetual licenses - 12 months of maintenance support required - Compatibility with FreeFly Astro sUAS is mandatory - Designed for high-accuracy mapping, including under dense vegetation
