This opportunity is for the complete renovation of the master bathroom at the Official Residence of the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City, managed by the U.S. Department of State. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, American Embassy Guatemala City, Facility Management Section, GSO - Procurement - Scope of Work: - Full master bathroom remodel, including demolition, construction, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile, cabinetry, fixtures, and commissioning - 22 distinct work items, each as a separate lot, covering all aspects from field verification to final cleaning and site restoration - Preparation of detailed installation drawings (plumbing, electrical, architectural, coordination) - All materials and fixtures must be Type A/Class A and approved by the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) - Structural strengthening required per provided structural assessment - Protection of adjacent areas (e.g., hardwood floors, walls, ceilings) during construction - Testing, commissioning, and a 12-month warranty on workmanship and materials - Products/Services Requested: - No specific OEMs or brands are named; all materials must meet U.S. government standards and OBO approval - Includes installation of plumbing fixtures (toilet, lavatory, faucets, shower system, bathtub, bidet), lighting, cabinetry, mirrors, and a frameless tempered glass shower enclosure - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Adherence to OBO material approval and structural assessment - Monthly progress reports and a preconstruction conference - Contractor must be registered in SAM and submit electronic quotations - All work must be completed within 45 calendar days after notice to proceed

Description

Enclosed is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for the Master Bedroom Remodeling at the Official Residence. If you would like to submit a quotation, follow the instructions in Section J of the solicitation, complete the required portions of the attached document, and submit it to the address shown on the Standard Form that follows this letter.

The U.S. Government intends to award a contract/purchase order to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price. We intend to award a contract/purchase order based on initial proposals, without holding discussions, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so.

A site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 10:00 am local time. Participants will meet at 20 Calle 4-30, Zona 10. If you would like to attend, please contact Ingrid Cifuentes at CifuentesIG@state.gov no later than August 18th by 10:00 am to arrange access to the building.

Quotations are due by Monday, September 7, 2026, at 1700 hours local time. No quotations will be accepted after this time. Quotations must be in English and incomplete quotations will not be accepted. Your quotation must be submitted electronically to GuatemalaBids@state.gov It is important to make sure the submission is made in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file format. The file size must not exceed 30MB. If the file size should exceed 30MB, the submission must be made in separate files and attached to separate emails with less than 30MB each.

Offerors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) database at https://www.sam.gov prior to submittal of their offer/proposal as prescribed under FAR 4.1102. Failure to be registered at time of proposal submission may deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered nonresponsible and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, offerors are highly encouraged to register immediately if they are interested in submitting a response to this requirement.
