San Miguel County, Colorado, is seeking qualified construction firms to build the Lawson Hill Connector Trail, a 0.18-mile multi-use path extension funded by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). - Government Buyer: - San Miguel County, Colorado, in partnership with CDOT and FHWA - Project managed by the Deputy County Manager's Office - Project Scope: - Construction of a 0.18-mile multi-use path connecting the County Park & Ride lot to the SH-145 underpass - Major work includes: mobilization, surveying, erosion control, site preparation, excavation, wall construction, concrete placement, curb and gutter installation, hot mix asphalt (HMA) patching, signage, striping, landscaping, and final cleanup - Utility coordination required with Lumen, San Miguel Power Association, Black Hills Energy, and the Town of Telluride - Products & Services Requested: - Over 50 construction line items, including: - Concrete bikeway (6 inch) (1,050 sq yd, part 608-00026) - Wire mesh retaining wall (special) (2,075 sq ft, part 504-90000) - Hot mix asphalt patching (280 sq yd, part 403-00721) - Curb and gutter (875 ft, part 609-21020) - Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) units (solar powered, ADA compliant) - Extensive erosion control, landscaping, and traffic control materials - Wildlife biologist services for migratory bird protection - Fire protection plan and coordinator - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict compliance with CDOT specifications and federal requirements (Buy America, Build America, Buy American Act, Davis-Bacon Act) - Environmental and wildlife protection: tree removal limited to non-bird migration periods, biological assessment compliance, 12-month landscape preservation post-completion - ADA compliance for pedestrian and bikeway features, including RRFB units - Affirmative action and on-the-job training goals for workforce - Coordination with multiple utility providers - No specific OEMs or product brands are mandated; focus is on meeting technical and environmental standards

The project will connect the County-owned Park & Ride lot to the existing SH-145 underpass to Telluride, covering approximately 0.18 miles.
